Spatial Audio

Ambisonics, a spatial audio surround sound format using anywhere from four to ten channels, immerses the VR user in a full sound environment by placing audio not only in the left-right stereo field but also above and below. Also called 360° audio, ambisonic sound is the perfect companion to VR visuals as it creates a directional link between what is seen and what is heard to increase the immersive nature of the experience.
